I like that we’re able to see how many times a student has requested a pass that day and can make sure that they aren’t missing a great deal of instruction throughout the school day. “E-Hall pass is very user friendly and makes pass writing much easier than in previous years. History teacher Kelli Foster is pleased with this new platform and its many functions for students and teachers. Teachers must allow the pass to go through and then a timer appears on the student’s device that lasts until the student returns from where they were. E-Hall pass is a program that allows students to request to use the restroom, go to another teacher’s classroom or go somewhere they are needed. And this is especially true for the students and staff walk through the machines on a regular basis.”Īnother new addition this school year is the E-Hall pass system. The system is also being used at large after-school events like football games.Īccording to “… just the presence of the machines alone is often enough to prevent someone from entering or even thinking of entering the building with a weapon. The Open Gate Security System is a new metal detector system that has been put into place at all three student entrances for students to walk through daily. Sallie Barre (12) believes the FlexTime Manager will benefit her greatly this school year. Now with the FlexTime Manager, one is able to sign up for what lunch and what activity they would like to participate in daily without missing after-school events. Typically these meetings were after school, which often interfered with part-time jobs and athletics. Prior to this year, one would have to show up to clubs whenever they knew club options were available. FlexTime Manager is also a great asset for teachers because they can schedule tutoring for those that need extra help in particular subjects. These new systems put into place this school year will provide structure and safety for students, teachers and staff.įlexTime Manager is a new database implemented to help students become more active in clubs and organizations throughout the week. The start of the 2022-2023 school year brought new and exciting changes with the implementation of E-Hall pass, FlexTime Manager and Open Gate System.
